CHLOE & JOE | MOUNTAIN WEDDING SHOOT | BUCK SPRING GAP OVERLOOK, NC

When the pandemic hit, all of our worlds got flipped upside down. My job, in particular, had to start adjusting to a new normal as celebrating weddings was something that took a pause. Joe and Chloe planned on getting married in October of 2020, but when the pandemic hit, they decided it would be best to reschedule for the following year. They had gotten the chance to have a small backyard celebration on their original wedding day with family, but as the party date approached in 2021 and the pandemic continue to take the world by storm, they decided it would be best to cancel it altogether. When Chloe told me this, I completed understood but also was very happy when they said they still wanted to do a shoot with their wedding clothes on because they never got the chance to wear them.

They decided the mountains of North Carolina in the fall would be a perfect time to get all fancy and parade around in their best attire. We headed to Buck Spring Gap Overlook and along with the incredible view, these two got some memories captured together in their wedding clothes. We celebrated their one-year anniversary of being married and finished the shoot right before the rain came.

Weddings might not always look exactly how we think since the pandemic hit, but there is nothing wrong with taking time to get all dressed up and find a backdrop you love to capture and celebrate you as a couple.
